Golf Management Western Australia is a legally constituted incorporated association of golf club managers based in the State of Western Australia and the association is a member of Golf Management Australia.
The association is represented by an elected board comprising Fellow and Ordinary members of the association, who represent members and organise the following in accordance with the Constitution.
1. Promote and improve the management and administrative skills of Members of the association for the benefit of golf clubs and their members.
2. Assist the Members of the association to increase their knowledge of golf club management and administration generally by:
Encouraging close co-operation, understanding and mutual assistance between Members.
Communicating information by personal contact at meetings arranged by the Association.
Arranging quarterly meetings of the Members of the association.
Organising golf tournaments and social functions to enable the raising of monies to cover the costs incurred by the association, and to assist the financing of Members' expenses incurred in attending Australasian conferences of meetings with kindred bodies.
Support or subscribe to any golf organisation when such action is seen to be for the betterment of the management of golf clubs and the game of golf.

Candidates for GMAWA membership must be a current Manager or Assistant Manager (or a similar responsible management position) of a Golf Club in Western Australia and must be nominated by an existing Fellow or Ordinary member. Nominations must be in writing on a membership application form obtained by clicking on the link below.
1. Networking with other Club Managers
2. The opportunity to attend regular meetings with other Managers
3. The opportunity to attend local seminars on current topics affecting the Club industry
4. The opportunity to attend the annual State conference and bi-annual National conference
5. Subsidies towards attendance at conferences
6. The opportunity to visit and play private golf courses locally and interstate
7. Support from fellow members on club issues
8. "Round table" or workshopping sessions with peers at regular meetings
9. The opportunity to travel to international conferences
10. Lifelong friendships
