Alex Monteath Trophy and GMA Challenge

This annual event was hosted by Western Australian Golf Club on Monday, 16th August. The format requires each club to nominate a team comprising of it's President, Cpatin, Professional and General Manager.

The Alex Monteath Trophy is awarded to the highest score of the pairing of Professionals and Managers. This year the trophy was taken out by WAGC with Brian Close and Nigel Williams on 67 points.

The GMA Challenge combines all four scores in each team and 2010 was taken out by Wanneroo GC.

Other Results:

Leading Captain: Terry Power (WGC) 38

Leading President: Frank Gibson (RGC) 37

Leading Professional: Andy Mowatt (RFGC) 37

Leading Manager: Brian Close (WAGC) 35

As can be seen from these scores, Managers spend by far the least time on the golf course...

Winners: Brian Close and Nigel Williams with Alex Monteath
